Bourbon Cowboy Hat

Now, I ain’t one for tall tales, but this here’s the gospel truth, as sure as the sun sets over the Texas plains. Back in the day, there was a fella round these parts, name lost to time, but everyone knew him as the Bourbon Cowboy. He wasn’t no ordinary moonshiner. No sir, his whiskey, well, that stuff could put hair on a rattlesnake’s belly and make a preacher forget his prayers. See, most folks was cookin’ up that clear corn shine, but the Bourbon Cowboy? He had a special touch. Said he got his recipe from a bootlegger outta Virginia, some ancient family secret, but he tweaked it with Texas flair. Used a Spanish Oak wood in his barrels, gave it a nice rich spicy flavor that went down smooth but kicked like a mule. It was straight from the barrel. He ran his stills deep in the hill country, hidden in the thick cypress groves where no man with a badge could find him. Even the Texas Rangers tried, But he had a knack for disappearin’ like dust in the wind. Legend has it, that whiskey of his was more than just liquor. Old timers claimed it cured what ailed ya, A sip a day, they’d say. Now, some say he’s long gone, but I heard whispers he still roams these hills, and If the moon’s out, and the wind carries just right, you might catch the scent of his whiskey on the breeze, like he’s still out there, makin’ his whiskey for those lucky enough to find him.
